Right,
I love Team Fortress 2. It’s a good game and I’ve found a nice server with nice people and it’s all well and good.
Problem is I’ve started to get right pi$$ed off with pi$$ing engineers who play!
Not saying that the engineers class is unfair, it’s a good DEFENSIVE class. As in all the attack power of a wet drunken noodle. Yeah they get a few good shot gun blasts out but bar that in a fire fight their fairly useless.
I was just playing Dustbowl map. The second capture point one, you have to capture a point in a building then the one right outside the other teams home base. It started well, we all took the 1st point not much trouble then the engineer problem came up.
We had a 10-11 man team but with FOUR engineers. FOUR! I wouldn’t minded so much but they all and I mean ALL set up in the same damn place. No where near the fight or where the other team was going to be.
I managed to get a look at the other teams setup. They had two turrets in completely different places. Thereby expanding their usefulness, not huddled together in one spot,
At this point I quit the game. I could not be arsed with half a team made of people sitting on their dispenser whacking their turrets turrets so any spy wouldn’t get them.

Fuggin’ engineers.
Whenever I play an engineer it’s cos I’m feeling sad and lonely and I want a team mate by my side who’s not going to run away or get team balanced and then kill me. Sometimes the only thing you can count on is a phalanx of minigun turrets.
Have to agree though you hit on my big problem with TF2 in this post, it’s really reliant on your team to work as a game. CSS or other games are at least playable if the rest of your team have the combat sense of a bag of monkeys, TF2 though -demands- a certain level of competence or you get rolled over without a contest.
