The latest episode of the Custom PC podcast sees James, Antony and Clive talk about Intel's brilliant new processor Core i7 and how easy it is to overclock, as well as discussing the Radeon HD 4850 X2 graphics card and Fallout 3.
With Intel's Core i7 processor finally launching this week, the team discuss just how good it is - between 20-40 per cent faster than anything previously seen and remarkably easy and rewarding to overclock too. Also up for debate is Sapphire's new Radeon HD 4850 X2 graphics card - are two GPUs better than and will ATI keep up the driver support?
Possibly the most surprising topic is that Fallout-fanboy James Gorbold actually likes Fallout 3, which has taken the top 10 PC games chart by storm this week. Unfortunately even though the top three spots are taken by good games such as Far Cry 2 and Red Alert 3, there's still room for two Sims games. Surely every teeenage girl in the country has bought their copy by now?
The prise for this episode's Guess the Game Music competition is a gorgeous piece of modding kit from MNPCTech so it's worth taking a punt on which game the music has been taken from.

It's not ideal, but this was the first time someone other than me (Alex) has done the editing. So there's a learning curve there. Apologies if it impacted on your enjoyment of it!
really annoying when i put folding at home on
The volume levelling issues were nowhere near as bad as you guys are making out...
No you weren't the only one. I kept having to flick the volume up/down depending on who was talking at the time. Shame really as the podcast subject was very interesting.
You guys have something to say but we cant hear you. Isn't it a simple and old rule of thumb that you test "it out" before releasing it?
One of you guys either has the worst voice in recording history or you are not FOLLOWING THE MICROPHONE. Very annoyed by this
Nice podcast, but was I the only one getting very irritated with the volume fluctuations? Sometimes it was fine, then half the time when someone was speaking the volume was going up and down like a yoyo, which got old pretty fast. Did no one bother to listen to it before posting it on the website?
