Assault #3 - The Pyro

Axtinguisher

The Axtinguisher replaces the fire axe as the Pyro’s melee weapon. In normal use it only does half the damage of the fire axe, however if the enemy is on fire it deals a guaranteed critical hit. This is enough to kill most enemies with a single blow, and will fell an ignited Heavy in two shots.

Best Allies: Pyro

The only thing better than one Pyro is... a group of Pyros. Even a fully buffed Heavy has trouble cutting down more than one Pyro before he becomes a charred heap.

Worst Enemies: Soldier, Heavy

The Soldier is difficult for Pyros to kill because his Rocket Launcher is at its most effective when the Solider is just outside the range of your flamethrower. Just one or two rockets fired at your feet is normally enough to kill you. The best approach is to take them on with the shotgun while dodging rockets. If they try to reload, by all means attempt to toast them, but be ready for the next deadly barrage of rockets.
