A: I've been in love with 'Back to the Future: Part III' for nearly all my life, so it's first and foremost on my list of frequently referenced inspirations. Far more recent additions to my mental library are movies such as 'Wild Wild West', 'The League of Extraordinary Gentleman' and the oft-forgotten television series 'The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr'. They all share the same cheeky irreverence and, most importantly, the stunning prop work on which I thrive. I'm afraid I don't read as much as I'd like, but in terms of fiction, I'd have to give the venerable Philip Reeve's 'Larklight' and 'Starcross' top honours. I love the works of Verne, Wells, and Conan Doyle as well, but I think that goes without saying. Most of the time, however, my nose can be found buried in one of the many non-fiction tomes my university's library possesses. With original copies of works such as 507 Mechanical Movements and 1930s reprints of Victorian-era Popular Science magazines, I'm in heaven.
