The first game in this series was also one of the first to use Ageia's original implementation of PhysX using Ageia PhysX hardware rather than a
graphics card. The Nvidia patch now enables the sequel to use a GeForce graphics card instead.
The patch also includes a new level, called Ageia island, which shows off some new features not present
in the original game. We saw trees blowing gently in the wind, with leaves blowing across the island.
However this beautiful scenes was let down somewhat when these leaves became stuck to a cliff face and started crawling over it in a very disturbing way.
The rest of the PhysX effects are well done though. Explosions throw debris everywhere very
satisfyingly, while wooden guard towers shower you in splinters when you launch rockets at it.
One particularly enjoyable aspect is that individual wooden planks of this guard tower can be shot out,
so you can shoot away the floor beneath the guard on the tower and kill him that way (in much the same way we were killed while playing Warmonger).
