10 - EeeBox Integration

The perfect pair

Asus is soon to release the EeeBox – a desktop PC variant on the Eee line, designed to be small and subtle, rather than most PCs which dominate a study or bedroom. While this may not be the ideal PC for those that enjoy gaming, it could serve as a nice general usage machine which is fast to start up and quiet.

Asus could create software that allows data to easily be synchronised when an EeePC and an EeeBox come into range. Currently, syncronisation is mainly used for mobile devices such as the iPod. It's perfectly possible to syncronise enter PCs under both Windows and most Linux distros but it's not an straightforward or flawless process. Asus could easily address this, and with two product lines that use the same branding, it makes perfect sense. Returning home and booting up your EeeBox which then seamlessly loads whatever document you were typing while using the EeePC would allow for an efficient working environment.
