Review Title: Careful with 45nm CPUs
Comment by agthompson at 8:19am 29th April 2008
Verdict: You may be sent one with an out of date BIOS!
The one I bought, along with a shiny E8400 for my new build, wouldnt POST. I had to beg an old LGA775 CPU off a friend and flash the BIOS - only then did my E8400 kick it in to life... Im lucky I had access to that CPU otherwise I would have RMAd the mobo only to be told it was working fine.
Sorry to put a downer on things, theres no doubt this is a great mobo but given its the elite CPC mobo and new builders are likely to combine it with a 45nm I thought it was worth mentioning to save them the extremely depressing first power up experience I had...

Review Title: One flaw!
Comment by rickpearce at 10:14am 16th January 2008
Verdict: It does what it says on the box, it is an incredibly stable board which can be loaded right up with all the goodies enthusiasts \"need.\"
I totally agree with the review, I have run this particular motherboard for several months now and am completely happy with it.
My only niggle is that I have installed an 8800GT in the primary PCI Express slot and I cannot use the SATA 0 port as it is not obscured by the end of the graphics card.
