Verdict: The PC130 hits the spot with plenty of bass at an attractive price
The PC130 is very similar in appearance to the other Sennheiser headsets as it's mostly black with smart silver covers over the drivers and the microphone.
While the PC140 lacks bass and the PC155 is heavyweight, the PC130 strikes the perfect balance between comfort, sound quality and price. The speaker drivers are smaller and lighter than those of the PC155, making this headset more comfortable to wear for long periods. Amazingly however, the bass response is almost as good and far better than that of the PC140.
The microphone is identical to those of the other Sennheisers and is located on a rotating arm that easily swivels out of the way. Recording quality is also good. The volume control and mute button are built into the cable, which has a belt clip.
You can also get a version of the PC130 with a USB connection, although it's over twice the price. But in their standard guise, the PC130 is great value for money, which ensures that it walks away with a Premium Grade Approved award.
