We haven't reviewed many Sharkoon products before, but if the quality of its fans are anything to go by then we'd like to see what else the company has to offer.

The Silent Eagle 1000 is Sharkoon's only 120mm fan and spins at 1,000rpm. Sharkoon claims that it produces 36.8cfm at 19dBA. We measured it as moving 38cfm at a noise level lower than that of the room (20.1dBA), making Sharkoon one of the more honest fan manufacturers when it comes to claiming what its products can do. Although the Silent Eagle 1000 isn't the most powerful 120mm fan ever made, it has the best balance between airflow and noise.

Confusingly, Sharkoon also makes another fan called the Silent Eagle 1000, which is an 80mm model. Like its larger brother, the 80mm fan also spins at 1,000rpm but, as it's much smaller, it barely moves any air at all. In fact, we were unable to measure its airflow because it failed to complete the 'black sack' test. So, despite its incredibly low noise (below the ambient noise level of our test chamber), it's impossible to recommend the 80mm Silent Eagle 1000 due to its poor airflow.

The Silent Eagle 2000 is a more powerful 80mm fan that spins at 2,000rpm, and Sharkoon claims that it can move 22.7cfm at 17.8dBA. We measured the airflow as being closer to 26cfm and its noise at 21.5dBA. Clearly, this makes the Silent Eagle 2000 the ultimate 80mm fan, as it provides more airflow than any other 80mm fan, bar the monstrous Vantec Tornado TD8038H, yet is extremely quiet.
