Few words are as beloved by motherboard manufacturers as 'extreme'. Yet judging by an impressively icy demonstration we saw at the recent Computex trade show, Abit's new IP35 Pro can certainly lay claim to being suitable for some truly extreme overclocking.
In order to demonstrate the board's prowess, Abit invited two top overclockers - Robert 'Crotale' Kihlberg, a Swedish overclocking champion, and Charles 'Fugger' Wirth, founder of Xtremesystems.org forums - to use the board, and a large can of liquid nitrogen, to push a quad core Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 to its limits.
We were on hand to capture some video of their efforts - and you can check it out below.
We haven't reviewed the IP35 Pro yet, but it is already available in the shops for around £120.
