Now there’s something you don’t see every day ...
If you’re old enough to remember the Commodore 64 and the ZX Spectrum, then you probably remember the first Ghostbusters game, which involved two stickmen with a box trying to catch ghosts, although it did have the miracle of digitised speech when the game started. Two decades later, the game industry has thankfully decided that it can probably do better, and has now announced an all new Ghostbusters game, which will even be ‘penned by the original creators,’ Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd.
The screenshots suggest that you’ll at least have the chance to battle the mammoth Stay Puft marshallow man, and also battle the infamous green blob (who was ‘hilariously’ called Slimer in the abysmal ‘The Real Ghostbusters’ cartoon later on). Maybe you’ll even get the chance to tell Walter Peck that he has no dick – we can all but hope.
As well as getting the original writers on board, Kotaku also claims that the pair will be reprising their roles as Spengler and Stantz, while Bill Murray will also be voicing Dr Venkman again. The site also said that multiplayer and co-op modes would be available, which would mean being very careful not to cross each other's streams. Vivendi was unable to confirm any of this to Custom PC, but promised that it would have more details for us soon.

this is not a good marketing move. ghostbusters ruled my childhood. i will not be buying into it 14 years later.
unfortunately I am old enough to remember this on my spekky (even then I was into upgrading - i had a 48k ram pack!!) I still have nightmares about loading games off audio cassette though ...
