The job of your dreams is up for grabs, provided your dreams include testing and writing about tons of computer hardware
Want to spend your days being paid to test, tinker with and write about
the latest and greatest PC hardware and games? Then you want to come
and work for Custom PC, the UK's finest computer magazine and website.
We're hiring a Staff Writer, to research and write articles
for the magazine and our fast-growing website. In this position you will be
contributing to a wide range of Custom PC sections, including news, reviews and
features, so a flexible, creative approach is important. As well as plenty of
writing talent, we’re looking for someone who has demonstrated the ability to
work well under pressure, as hitting deadlines is key to succeeding in the
role.
This
is a junior position, so while previous experience of journalism is an
advantage, it is not a requirement for applicants. What is required is a love
for PC hardware, modding, gaming and technology. Although this is a junior
role, it is one with plenty of scope for development, so initiative, ideas and
a proactive approach to work will be rewarded. A desire to learn more about
both computer technology and consumer journalism is a must.
The
role is full-time, based in the heart of London’s West End and offers a great remuneration and benefits package, along with fantastic opportunity for
career progression. To apply, please email your CV, a 500-word review of your
own PC in the Custom PC style and a covering letter explaining why you’re the
best person for the job to Alex Watson, Editor: alex [at] custompc [dot] co [dot] uk
Closing
date: 28th March, 2008
I'd love to apply for that, I built my own website pc-custom.co.uk just to do stuff like that, if it wasn't for this darn cancer I'd apply strait away. Good luck to whoever gets the job. ....hmm the idea of moving to london and getting out of the cultural vacuum that is northampton....
itsonlydanny - the deadline for applications is the 28th of March.
More practically, what's the deadline for applications? Cheers, itsonlydanny
