Voodoo releases a teaser video in the build up to its new PC launch
Those of you who have the latest copy of Custom PC will know that HP’s chief technologist of HP Gaming Worldwide, Rahul Sood, has given us a big hint in his latest column about a new announcement in June. Sood used to be the CEO of Voodoo before it was bought by HP, and the guys from Voodoo collaborated on the HP Blackbird 002 project. However, it looks like there’s soon going to be a new pure Voodoo machine on the market.
Voodoo’s PCs have continually made an impression on Custom PC, and the company was even featured in the first issue of the magazine. Since then, the company continued to produce great-looking case mods and paint jobs, as featured on eye-catching PCs such as the OMEN Extreme Gamer AMD X2. In fact, Voodoo’s Rage F5 even managed to attain a flawless 100 per cent score when it was reviewed in 2005.
However, we weren’t quite as blown away by the comparatively standard design of the Blackbird 002, so we’re hoping that Voodoo has something unique and special in the works. A couple of days ago, a ‘fire’ broke out on the Voodoo website too, which we assume is all a part of the marketing scheme involved with the new PC; perhaps rising as a phoenix from the ashes.
Look out for an interview with Rahul, as well as more details, in the near future. In the meantime, though, check out the teaser video below to see what could be in store. What would you like to see in a new Voodoo dream PC? Let us know your thoughts.
a glimpse to say the least, looks like a block of metal with the logo etched into it, perhaps some carbon fibre/gloss too. If they can make it a "dream" pc that's affordable to us peasants I'm sure it'll do well.
I fell in love with voodoo pc's from the previous previous dream PC ... I did build a dream one and it came in just under $12k ... and a dream it shall stay .. overall they look amazing but performance wise they aint going to beat a machine that costs 1/4 price .... same as the blackbird it looked nice but wasnt worth the extra cash for a good looking quit machine..
having just checked out the site advertised in that clip... anything that pretentious has to be either amazing or distinctly average. Since they're not breaking boundaries, I'm going with average
a pretty small glimpse at that. That vid shows nothing except a few hints at something that looks vaguely Mac like in appearance.
