Print out this voucher to bag yourself a £1 saving on the current issue of CPC from WHSmith
Here’s a chance for you to pick up the latest issue of Custom PC and still have enough change from a fiver for some sweets and a bumper puzzle book, or even something useful if you're that way inclined. We’re running a special offer in conjunction with WHSmith, where you can get a copy of Issue 59 of Custom PC with £1 off the £4.25 cover price.
All you need to do is print out this voucher, and present it to the nice person at the till at WHSmith, and you’ll get your mag for just £3.25. There’s just one condition, though, which is that the offer is only open until Tuesday 22 July, so make sure you get in quick.
Issue 59 of Custom PC features a massive roundup of 29 PSUs, and we also show you how to beat an off-the-shelf Dell system by building and speccing a PC yourself. As well as this, there's also a full review of Western Digital's new VelociRaptor hard drive, and we also count down the eight things you need to do in an MMO before you die. What more could you want for just £3.25? Happy shopping!

I just want a Custom PC badge for my puter.
Are the people who do these sort of things not custompc directly? However i would agree that advertising elsewhere like PCpro and other sites through online advertisements, and an actual pound off the mag anyway in the shops would be the best selling point, especially with all the magazine readers i see in smiths all the time!
Getting people to subscribe to CPC is the way to go, 3 Issues for £1 and that sorta thing.
WTF... this idea wouldn't get more customers... obviously the people on the forums are regular readers - there is absolubtlely no way that this would work,if your gonna do this again then listen to your regulars and treat them.
Custom PC is a business, they're trying to increase their customer base, if they were to cease trading we all miss out on a great mag.
Excuse me if I'm wrong, but this seemed to me a poor way of increasing your reader base. Especially as you advertise it on your website which is visited by people who have already read the magazine. I fear you have disgruntled regulars and you won't gain many more readers. Whose idea was this? If it was WHSmiths then don't listen to them again, they are obviously more interested in clearing shelves than keeping customers happy. If its one of the staff, then send them back to business school!
Why do this now? All your regular readers have already bought the mag! C'mon custom pc don't be an ass, give your regulars a voucher for issue 60.

I just re-read the comments and it finally sunk through my thick skull!!
So, issue 60 is out this weekend for subscribers then. But, the issue doesn't normally hit the shops until the Thursday after the subs weekend. i.e. Thursday the 24th in this case - two days after the voucher runs out?
Is this an attemp to shift a few more copies of issue 59 before 60 comes out or is it a typo... im hoping it was the latter, sort of doubt it though.
As per the email you sent out, I find it insulting that you print this now when all your regular readers (customers) have already long paid full price. Would you like us all to not buy the next issue when it comes out, just in case we may save a quid a couple of weeks later? Thought not...
I already have #59. I want a voucher for #60 :)
It's issue 60 that has all the GFX cards in, and that's out *next* week.... Alex.
I bought issue 59 a month ago, and it didnt have reviews of the new graphics cards.
It has full reviews of the HD 4870, 4850, GTX 260, GTX 280 and a preview of the 9800 GTX+, does that convince you? :)
i'll pay full price :)
