Multiplay has tens of thousands of BETA keys going on a first come first served basis

If you’ve been gnashing your teeth with envy at those who got themselves into the closed BETA of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, and want to start battering some orcs, then you’ll be pleased to know that Multiplay has 50,000 BETA keys up for grabs. So, if you can’t wait until the official release date, then grab a BETA key quick before they all go.

The BETA download marks the start of Multiplay’s new download service. Holders of Multiplay accounts can download the BETA from here, where you’ll also have the opportunity to sign up for a Multiplay account for free if you don’t have one already.

Once you’ve entered the game, you’ll need to figure out where your allegiances lie, and join the appropriate army. If you’re a goody two shoes (meaning pointy elf shoes), then the Realm of Order will probably be your cup of tea, where you can fight as a Dwarf, High Elf or a Human from the Empire. Meanwhile, those who like a bit of ‘Bilious Green’ on their side will be better off signing up for the aptly named Realm of Destruction, where you can play as an Orc or Goblin, or perhaps a Dark Elf or Chaos-worshipping Human.

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning will be officially released on 18 September. The standard retail version will set you back £39.69, and it includes a 30-day subscription. On top of that, a further month will cost £10.31, three months will set you back £28.55 and six months will cost £52.34. As well as this, 60-day pre-paid Game Card packs for the game will be available from game retailers for £23.81.

It's necessary to update my post on this subject. The fiasco of GOA fabulously cocking up the launch of Euro Open Beta for Warhammer Online has been superceded by ... a very good game! Well, so far it is ...

Life after Conan ...

It makes you realise that a free OB is the only way to work out whether to spend money on these abortion attempts at making a game. I feel most sorry for Games Workshop ... it is their franchise going down the pan :/

Many of you may be wondering what to do with your open beta key also. Before the servers open on Sunday we will open the validation page and you will be able to complete your preparations for the start of the open beta. We will of course post an update to let you know the moment the page is available. http://www.war-europe.com/#/news/?id_news=en105&lang=en

Got accepted but 7 separate files to download totalling over 8gb - that's a lot of downloading to do.

Booo!

"You were not accepted into the Beta". Server down for maintenance. Much ado about nothing!

I too purchased Conan and got sick of the constant crashes and memory leaks, this MMO looks good but im waiting at least a couple of months before reinvesting.

I recently spent £30 on Conan plus 3 months subs at another £30 and now I'd rather chew my own leg off than play it anymore. I think I might wait a while with this one then.
