Play Crytek’s new multiplayer game online for free this weekend, and on your LAN for the whole week

If you’ve yet to be convinced that Psycho’s solo escapade, Crysis Warhead, is worth the money, particularly given that you can complete it in an afternoon, then you’re also missing out on Crysis Wars. Crytek’s new multiplayer game comes as standard with Warhead, and Crytek and EA are hoping that it’s going to be a big hit with multiplayer gamers.

In order to convince you, Crytek and EA are offering Crysis Wars for free this weekend, giving you plenty of time to give it a trial run. As well as this, Crytek says it will also be offering ‘something extra special’ over the weekend for people who already own the game, although we don’t know what this will be yet.

If you’re interested in getting into some free Crysis Wars action, then you’ll need to head over to MyCrysis, and register your details. You’ll then be emailed an activation key that will allow you to play Crysis Wars on Gamespy servers for free from 7pm GMT on 10 October through to 3.59pm GMT on 12 October. As well as this, if you register today, you’ll also be able to play the game on your own LAN for the whole week.

Crysis Wars includes three multiplayer modes (InstantAction,TeamInstantAction and PowerStruggle), as well as 21 maps of varying sizes and access to all the weapons and vehicles in the Crysis Universe. Have you played Crysis Wars yet? If so, would you like to play it on Custom PC's Readers' Night? As always, let us know what you think in the comments section below.

YES - readers night

it's an awesome multiplayer experience for those with high end systems (like many people who read custom pc) Team Instant Action would be awesome on Readers night. Get the server men to host a nice rotation of all the IA maps and we'll have an awesome readers night. Changing the game will also give more people a chance to get Involved, as those who didn't play your previous games may play this
