Verdict: The Blu Ray version is now the one to go for.

I almost bought the version of this laptop that has the Blu Ray drive. However there is one major problem. Whether you get the HD-DVD or Blu Ray version, there's a good change you'd want to plug it into your HDTV to save yourself the cost of a stand alone player. The lack then, of a HDMI port seems a major omission on a top of the range laptop. It's not as if there isn't room either. They could easily do away with the useless Serial port and put it there.
